Michael later enjoyed a successful solo career releasing classics such as ” Faith”, “One More Try”, and “Father Figure.”
George Michael’s camp says that the singer actually died from heart failure and pretty much slept through the entire thing. His family and friends also want fans to know that their beloved George suffered NO PAIN.
Here’s the official statement.
“A rep for the pop star says, “It is with great sadness that we can confirm our beloved son, brother and friend George passed away peacefully at home over the Christmas period.”
One of Michael’s principal reps tell TMZ the singer had not been ill, and had been working on a Showtime movie of his life that was set to air in England next March. This wasn’t an expected death.
We want to send our deepest condolences to George’s family, friends, and fans all around the world. And we will be posting further details on burial arrangements and any tributes in honor of the singer.
Here’s five of our fav George Michael music videos that’s sure to tug at your heart strings just a lil bit.
We’re starting it off with “Wake Me Up Before You Go Go”, and then rounding it all out with “Careless Whisper”, “One More Try”, “Freedom”, and his massive duet with the Queen Of Soul called “I Knew You Were Waiting.”
