Gospel Singer Duranice Pace Has Died
Gospel singer Duranice Pace of the legendary group the Anointed Pace Sisters, has passed away at the age of 62. The Pace family announced the transition of this beautiful soul on social media.
The cause of death hasn’t been revealed but posts on her Instagram page informed Duranice’s followers that she has been hospitalized for weeks.
Duranice’s Gospel career with her sisters took off when they begin singing at their father Pastor Murphy Pace‘s church in Atlanta, Georgia. The group is made up of nine sisters. The Pace Sisters released five albums from 1992 until 2009 and have charted the Billboards. They’ve been nominated for Grammy and Stellar awards, and have been honored at the 16th Trailblazers of Gospel Music Awards.
Some of their most memorable songs are “Be A Fence,” “Finally,” and “When God Is In the Building.”
The Pace Sisters just recently laid their mother, Bettie Ann Pace, to rest back in July 2020.
Duranice has been pretty open about trials that she went through in life. Last year on the Steve Harvey Morning Show, she shared her battle with thyroid cancer. She told the talk show host that the doctor gave her three years to live, eleven years ago. She also told Steve that her goal was to sing on Broadway. Her appearance on the show literally brought Steve to tears.

On an episode of Iyanla: Fix My Life back in 2013, Duranice revealed that she was sexually assaulted by her uncle when she was 12-years old.
Duranice’s struggles didn’t stop her from singing. In fact, she used her anointed voice to encourage others who experienced their own struggles and heartbreak.
When rapper T.I.’s sister Precious Harris passed away, Duranice posted a video singing an uplifting song and message.
“@troubleman31 @majorgirl My family and I just wanted to encourage you and your family. To let you know that we’re standing with you and believing GOD to perform a miracle for your dear sister. 3 John :2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. 🌷“
Duranice also wrote a book entitled, “Design to Purpose,” and invited fans to her book signing back in February 2020.
The Gospel industry is hurting from this major loss but Heaven has gained a beautiful angel.
Sending the Pace family love and condolences. Rest in paradise, Queen.
