Geoffrey Owens Set to Guest Star on “The Pitt,” Season 2

Veteran actor Geoffrey Owens is heading back to primetime, landing a guest-starring role on the hit medical drama The Pitt for its second season.

According to reports, Owens will appear in the show’s upcoming 13th episode, where he will portray Dr. Clay Barrett, a cardio-thoracic surgeon introduced during a high-stakes moment inside the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center. The episode is scheduled to air on April 2.

Best known for his role as Elvin Tibideaux on The Cosby Show, Owens’ casting marks another notable addition to his steady return to television in recent years. His appearance on The Pitt continues a career resurgence that has included roles on series such as NCIS and Blue Bloods, following a wave of public support after he made headlines in 2018.
