Frank James Identified As Person Of Interest In Brooklyn Subway Shooting
NYPD has identified Frank James as a person of interest in the Brooklyn subway shooting. According to officials, the 62-year old posted a video of bizarre threatening rants on YouTube.
“Mr. Mayor, I’m a victim of your mental health program,” James said in one lengthy video.
“I’m 63 now full of hate, full of anger, and full of bitterness.”
The NYPD said they were increasing security for Mayor Eric Adams after police discovered the videos.
The person of interest ranted about race issues and claimed that the Russian invasion of Ukraine was proof that black people were treated with disdain in society.
Police has not said he’s the suspect but they have collected evidence, including a U-Haul truck, that ties him to the shooting.
The suspect fired the gun 33 times and hit 10 people (7 men and 3 women). At least 29 had to be treated for injuries.
Investigators have launched a massive manhunt for the shooter and revealed that surveillance cameras at the Sunset Park subway station were not working at the time of the assault.
A $50,000 reward is also being offered to anyone with information regarding the attack.
Anyone with information on the shooting should call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS or log onto the CrimeStoppers website.
