Former NFL Star Colin Kaepernick Launches Publishing Company And Announces First Book Release

Colin Kaepernick announced his publishing company to the world through an Instagram post on 13 Feb. 2020. According to the post, he created Kaepernick Publishing to “create opportunities for Black and Brown writers.”

Kaepernick Publishing was founded to create opportunities for Black and Brown writers, authors, and creators to control their narratives and retain ownership. I am excited to announce the multi-project collaboration between myself, @KaepernickPublishing & @audible

He said in a USA Today interview, “We want[ed] to be able to put the power back into the hands of the people that are telling the stories and the people that are writing the stories and creating them.”

Later this year, Kaepernick will also be releasing his memoir through his publishing company in partnership with Audible. This memoir will answer many of the questions surrounding Kaepernick’s activism and being blacklisted in the NFL.
