Family Asks Public For Help In Murder Case Of Baltimore Salon Owner Destiny Harrison
A 21-year old entrepreneur who ran her own salon in Baltimore is dead days after she told authorities she feared for her life — now her family is asking the public for help to bring the young owner’s killer(s) to justice.
According to local ABC affiliate WMAR reports, Destiny Harrison was found shot in the head at her place of business, the Madam D Beauty Bar, on Saturday (Dec. 21) shortly after 6 PM.
The young mother of a 1-year old daughter was taken to an area hospital where she later died.
Authorities shared that twelve days before her death, Harrison’s business was broken into.
She filed charges against two people who lived near her salon after she caught them in the back of her business stealing merchandise.
Harrison’s written testimony described how one of the suspects allegedly held her down while the other one hit and stomped on her after she demanded her property back, WMAR reports.
The suspects allegedly fled with $3,000 worth of “expensive hair extensions.”

Harrison also told a court commissioner that she knew one of the suspects had a violent background, WMAR reports.
Neighbors describe Harrison as a good neighbor and always wanting to help, CBS Baltimore reports.
According to WMAR, Harrison’s mother, Racquel Harrison, created a GoFundMe page asking for help for daughter’s funeral expenses; however, an angel by the name of Gervonta Davis, has come forward to cover the entire cost.
The boxing champion announced on his Instagram story that all funeral costs for the fellow Baltimore native is paid for.
