Drama Off And Off Screen? Y&R Newcomer Jordi Vilasuso Claps Back After Certain People (Eric Braeden) Question His Contribution To A Tribute Video About The Y&R Legacy.
Its no secret that The Young And The Restless has been going through turmoil. The head producer, Mal Young, has allegedly been the reason behind many cast members leaving or being fired. Some of the remaining cast has been extremely vocal about the direction the soap opera is going, including veteran star Eric Braeden.
A few days ago, The Young And The Restless announced on Twitter that they had recently asked certain cast members what did the Y&R legacy mean to them. They are going to present it as a tribute supposedly. Newcomer to the show, Jordi Vilasuso, was one of the cast members who were asked to participate. Eric Braeden, aka Victor Newman, took to twitter and simply asked why weren’t other certain fan favorites (who have been there longer) were included. Jordi took that this personally and clapped back. We’ll start with the Y&R tweet first.
@Y&R
“We asked some of our cast about the #YR legacy, and now it’s your turn! Tell us what it means to you.”
@EBraeden
“They asked WHO about what the Y&R legacy meant to them??? How about asking Jess WALTON, TRACY BREGMAN, DOUGIE DAVIDSON, EILEEN DAVIDSON, CHRISTIAN Le BLANC, GREG RIKART, CHRYSTAL KHALIL, LAURALEE BELL, MISHAEL MORGAN etc!!”
“@Y&R asked ME and I was honored to give it. My words were never intended to disregard or disrespect the truly valuable cast that has worked in building its legacy throughout the years. My hope is to honor it in the same way these legends have & continue to do.”
What do you guys think? Are you feeling Jordi in this particular moment? Or do you think Eric has a valid point?
I think my man Eric is still a little salty at the fact Jordi replaced Doug. Come on, Mr. Newman! I love you but it’s not his fault. He’s trying to work and feed his family too. If you’re gonna be mad at someone, be mad at Mal Young and the executives at Y&R.
Everyone knows that the end of the road will approach us eventually. But how it approach us is very important.
Keep it real!!
