Dr. Dre’s Oldest Daughter Says She’s Homeless And Living Out Of A SUV
LaTanya Young, the oldest daughter of hip hop mogul Dr. Dre, revealed that she is homeless and is now living out of a rental car.
The 38-year old single mother-of-four told DailyMail.com that she has repeatedly asked her producer dad, who is said to be worth $800 million, for financial help but she has not received a dime in 18 months.
Dre’s estranged daughter said she works as a delivery driver for DoorDash and Uber Eats and as an assembler at a warehouse; however she hasn’t been able to secure an apartment in California.
LaTanya is Dre’s daughter by Lisa Johnson. The couple split when LaTanya was five-years old.
She has not seen Dre in 18 years. She also shared that she doesn’t even have his cell phone number, admitting that she has to communicate with him through his team.
LaTanya made it clear that her children, two girls and two boys (ages 16, 13, 8, and 3), are living with friends. She added that it pains her that her children have never met their famous grandfather.
She stated, “My kids are old enough to know who he is. They are in shock that he doesn’t want anything to do with them.”
LaTanya said it also hurt her when she found out Dre was ordered to pay his wife of 24 years Nicole Young $300,000 month in a divorce settlement.
“What Nicole has got is what my mom should have got.”
‘”I’m taking odd jobs just to make it now,” she said. “I got paid $15 an hour as an assembler at the warehouse.”
LaTanya said she now fears she will lose her rental car as she has not been able to make payments.
She said that she moved from Nevada to California about a month ago in hopes that she would make more money.
LaTanya has been asking Dr. Dre’s lawyer for help but he has told her that since she has spoken about her father to the press in the past, he will not give her any money.
She admitted that he has in the past helped her, by paying her rent and giving her an allowance, but that help ended in January 2020.
What do y’all think? Should Dre help his daughter or should she figure out life on her own?
