DDG Files Motion to Prevent Halle Bailey From Taking Their Son Halo to Italy

Rapper and YouTuber DDG (Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.) filed an emergency court motion in Los Angeles to prevent his ex-partner, actress Halle Bailey, from taking their 17-month-old son, Halo, on a planned trip to Italy. This legal action is part of an ongoing custody dispute between the former couple, who ended their relationship in 2024.

According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, DDG alleges that Bailey poses an “imminent emotional and psychological risk” to both herself and their child. He cites instances of alleged unstable behavior, including threats of self-harm and an incident where Bailey purportedly took his firearm during a domestic altercation. DDG argues that allowing Halo to travel internationally would remove the child from the jurisdiction of U.S. courts and limit access to emergency interventions, potentially endangering his well-being.

This motion follows a temporary restraining order granted to Bailey in May 2025, which awarded her temporary sole legal and physical custody of Halo and required DDG to maintain a distance of at least 100 yards from both Bailey and their son. Bailey’s petition included allegations of physical and emotional abuse, supported by photographic evidence of injuries.

In response, DDG has filed for his own restraining order against Bailey, asserting that she has exhibited emotionally unstable behavior that could negatively impact their child. He is also seeking sole custody of Halo or, alternatively, supervised visitation rights.

The court has yet to rule on DDG’s emergency motion. Bailey’s representatives have not publicly commented on the latest developments. The situation remains fluid as both parties continue to present their cases in court.
