Dave Chappelle Attacked While Performing On Stage At The Hollywood Bowl

Comedian Dave Chappelle was tackled by an armed man during his performance at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles Tuesday night.

Dave’s security swiftly intervened and detained the attacker.

Sourced at the show says the man had a knife that was shaped like a gun.

The attacker has been identified as 23-year old Isaiah Lee.

He was arrested and taken away to be treated at the hospital. Video clip shows the suspect handcuffed to a gurney with what looks like a dislocated arm from when security allegedly beat him down.

After the suspect was removed from the stage, Dave joked about the incident. He was later joined on stage with other celebs, including Chris Rock who also joked about the situation saying, “Was that Will Smith?”

As y’all may recall, Academy Award winner Will Smith walked onto the Oscars stage and slapped the Chris after he made a joke about Will’s wife Jada Pinkett-Smith. The two comedians were clearly trying to make light of the situation and move on with the show.

Dave’s show was part of the “Netflix Is A Joke Festival.”

Lee is now facing an assault with a deadly weapon charge and is being held on $30,000 bail, according to LAPD booking records.
