Acclaimed actor Courtney B. Vance is slated to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, part of the prestigious Class of 2025 announced by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.
The honor will officially recognize Vance in the Television category — a testament to his decades-long career spanning stage, film, and TV.
On a recent appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, Vance expressed his gratitude and excitement, calling the selection “such a blessing.” He noted that his star continues a family tradition of recognition: his wife, Angela Bassett, received her Walk of Fame star years ago — “and the kids were babies.”
Vance’s star is part of a larger, star-studded class: this year’s honorees include actors and entertainers such as Nia Long, Bill Duke, Sherri Shepherd, and many others across film, television, music, and more.
As of now, a dedication ceremony has not been scheduled — honorees typically have up to two years to set a date for their star unveiling.
In light of his decades-long career — from Broadway beginnings to Emmy Award-winning television roles — the upcoming star solidifies Vance’s legacy in Hollywood.
