Cori Broadus, the 26-year-old daughter of hip-hop icon Snoop Dogg, is mourning the heartbreaking loss of her infant daughter just weeks after celebrating what many hoped would be a joyous milestone.
In an emotional Instagram Story posted Saturday, January 31, Broadus revealed that her baby girl, Codi Dreaux, passed away on January 26 at just 10 months old — only 20 days after coming home from a prolonged stay in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). “Monday, I lost the love of my life. My Codi,” she wrote alongside a black-and-white photo of herself cradling her daughter.
A Fragile Fight From the Start
Codi was born in February 2025 after a dramatically premature delivery at just 25 weeks gestation, following complications during Broadus’s pregnancy, including HELLP syndrome, a serious condition affecting blood and liver function.
Due to her early birth and health challenges, Codi spent the first 10 months of her life in the NICU. Broadus had openly shared updates with her followers throughout the difficult journey — recounting fears, moments of hope, and profound love for her daughter.
Earlier this month, the family celebrated a long-awaited milestone when Codi was discharged and brought home in early January, prompting Broadus to express gratitude for the support she had received. “She’s home.
