Comedian and social media sensation Kountry Wayne is stepping back onto the stand-up stage with a brand-new comedy special, Kountry Wayne: Nostalgia, set to premiere on March 23, 2026, on Prime Video.
The one-hour special marks Wayne’s second stand-up special and his first with Amazon, following the success of his 2023 Netflix debut A Woman’s Prayer, which premiered at No. 1 on the streaming platform.
A Throwback Feel With Modern Storytelling
According to reports, Nostalgia aims to capture the raw, high-energy feel of 1990s stand-up comedy, reminiscent of the classic Def Jam era. The special blends Wayne’s signature storytelling style with personal reflections on relationships, family, and life experiences.
Despite tackling real-life topics, Wayne continues to stand out in the comedy world for delivering clean comedy without profanity, while still keeping audiences laughing with relatable humor and sharp observations.
From Viral Videos to Comedy Star
Born DeWayne Colley, Kountry Wayne first gained national attention through viral social media sketches that showcased his comedic characters and quick wit. Over the years, his online presence has exploded, earning him more than 18 million followers across social platforms and over 1.2 billion Facebook views.
That digital popularity has translated into a thriving entertainment career, including acting roles such as his appearance in the Taika Waititi-produced series Time Bandits and upcoming film projects.
Expanding His Comedy Empire
In addition to the upcoming special, Wayne is currently touring the country with his “Workout Tour,” bringing his stand-up comedy directly to fans nationwide.
Kountry Wayne: Nostalgia is produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Rotten Science, with Wayne serving as an executive producer alongside Matthew Vaughan, Jeff Tomsic, Josh Pearl, and Molly Mandel.
With a rapidly growing fan base and a track record of viral success, Wayne’s new Prime Video special is expected to bring his unique brand of humor to an even wider global audience when it premieres later this month.
