Christina Cooper Directs New Film “Trading Soles”
Rising filmmaker Christina Cooper is producing and directing the upcoming film, Trading Soles— starring influencer Shiggy, Faizon Love, and Joe Barra.
The movie follows James Caldwell (an African-American student athlete)
played by Shiggy and Adam Finch (a rich caucasian nerd) played by Joe
Barra.
After a school yard scuffle, the school counselor Ms. Cigam (who has a background in witchcraft) decides to switch their bodies. They won’t switch back until they learn to appreciate the life that they were given.
The movie was written by Christina Cooper of BET’s South
Central Love, along with talented newcomer Carlos Robins.
Christina is also producing a reality show, Six Figure Makeover starring T.I, and new series My Father’s Voice — which is a spinoff from Netflix Never Heard.

Trading Soles will be this generation’s version of the classic
Freaky Friday with an urban twist. The move touches on real life
situations of poverty, wealth, race, and stereotypes.
The film is set to release towards the end of 2021.
