Chloe Bailey Set To Star In Youth Choir Comedy ‘Praise This’
Singer Chloe Bailey has signed on to star in the upcoming Will Packer movie Praise This.
According to Deadline, Praise This is a music-competition feature comedy set in the world of youth choirs.
The film falls under Will Packer Productions’ first-look deal with Universal, which has produced such hits as Night School, Girls Trip, the Ride Along films and Little. Tina Gordon, who directed Little, will also be directing this film.
Bailey first got her start in acting as young Lily in the movie Fighting Temptations, which featured Beyonce’ and Cuba Gooding, Jr.
Chloe also utilized her acting chops on the ABC hit show Grown-ish for four seasons.
She will next be seen in Miramax’s supernatural thriller The Georgetown Project, with Russell Crowe and Ryan Simpkins.
She is mostly recognized as being a member of the Grammy-nominated sister duo Chloe x Halle. While her sister works with Disney on the live-action Little Mermaid film (which is now wrapped), Chloe has been working on her solo career. She out two hits that went viral the first day they were released—”Have Mercy” and “Treat Me.”
We have to say—Praise This sounds like it will be the complete opposite of “Treat Me” but if anyone can handle it, Chloe can.
Congratulations on the new role!
