Chadwick Boseman Has Passed Away After Battling Colon Cancer
Hollywood has lost a giant in the industry. Chadwick Boseman passed away at his home after battling colon cancer for 4 years. A statement was released on the Black Panther‘s star Instagram page Friday, delivering the heartbreaking news.
Chadwick was recognizably known for his iconic roles in films such as: 42 (the story of Baseball legend Jackie Robinson), Get On Up (the biopic of the Godfather of Soul, James Brown), Black Panther (part of the Marvel series).
Black Panther” grossed $700.1 million in the United States and Canada, and $646.9 million in other territories, for a worldwide total of $1.347 billion.
Sources say that Chad underwent multiple surgeries and went through chemotherapy after his diagnosis but still managed to keep working.
He even hosted “Saturday Night Live” and played his character of T’Challa, the contestant who doesn’t fit in, on “Black Jeopardy.”
Chadwick is survived by his wife Taylor Simone Ledward. He was 43 at the time of his death. Rest in peace, King.
