Body Cam Video Shows Rayshard Brooks Being Cooperative Before Cop Shot Him To Death
The Atlanta PD has released body cam video showing the interaction between Rayshard Brooks, a black man shot and killed by an officer in a Wendy’s parking lot, and their conversation was actually pleasant.
Former officer Garrett Rolfe suspects Brooks had been drinking and driving, although when cops came on scene Brooks was not driving … he had fallen asleep in his car.
Throughout the entire video, Rolfe is trying to get Brooks to submit to a breathalyzer test, but Brooks already admitted he had a couple of drinks. He even told the officer that he could walk to his sister’s house to make the situation better but him Rolfe wouldn’t let up.
Brooks makes it clear … he doesn’t want trouble and agreed to leave his car behind and walk home.
Check out the exchange.
Brooks was able to grab one of the officer’s tasers and run, but yet the officers still found it fit to shoot a man with a non-lethal weapon 3 times! He was only sleeping in his car and now he’s dead.
The family lawyer says the cops waited more than 2 minutes to even check on Brooks once he was down.
Officer Garrett Rolfe was fired and Devin Brosnan, whose body cam footage it is, has been placed on administrative leave.
There is an outcry for both officers to be fired and charged for the murder of Rayshard Brooks. More protests erupted across the country and rioters set Wendy’s restaurant on fire.
