Al Roker Rushed Back to the Hospital
Today anchor Al Roker was rushed back to the hospital 24 hours after his release, according to a Page Six source.
According to the outlet, the Today anchor fell ill on Friday, a day after he missed hosting the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade for the first time in 27 years.
Roker was taken by ambulance to Manhattan hospital with his wife Deborah Roberts and daughter following behind in a taxi.
A source states “his condition was worrying, but once back in the hospital, he improved.” He is surrounded by family.
Last month, Roker was hospitalized due to blood clots in his leg and lungs. The condition may be fatal if not discovered and treated early enough.
On Nov. 18, he shared his diagnosis on Instagram stating,“Last week I was admitted to the hospital with a blood clot in my leg which sent some clots into my lungs.”
He added, “After some medical whack-a-mole, I am so fortunate to be getting terrific medical care and on the way to recovery. Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers and hope to see you soon.”
On Thanksgiving, he posted a video of himself walking the hospital corridors and wrote how grateful he was to be going home.
So much to be #thankful for on the #thanksgiving day. Leaving the hospital and home for #thanksgivingdinner
Praying for complete healing as Al Roker recovers.
