Akon Announces $6 Billion Construction Contract To Build Akon City in Senegal
Akon is moving forward with building his city. The “Locked Up” singer shared on social media that he just closed on a $6 billion deal to get construction going for Akon city.

According to Complex, Akon entered a contract with U.S.-based engineering and consulting firm, KE International. The firm generated the first $4 billion through investors and will use it to finish the first two phases of construction — which both faces will be done by 2029.
Akon City is expected to be completed in 2030.
