Activist Shaun King’s Daughter Hospitalized After Being Hit By Car
Update: Kendi is out of the Surgery Intensive Care Unit, according to her mother. Rai King shared the good news on Instagram Monday.
“After 3 days, Kendi was transferred out of the surgery intensive care unit last night.
She has physical and cognitive therapy every day and will continue to once released.
Continue to pray specifically for:
1. Complete brain healing
2. No seizures
3. Full memory functioning

Shaun King went to Instagram to ask his followers for prayers.
The civil rights activist shared that his 19-year old daughter Kendi King was hit by a car while walking in Manhattan. He said Kendi is suffering from a brain injury and has been in ICU since Saturday morning. She also has several body injuries.
Shaun said although her injuries are serious, they have every reason to believe that she will recover. He said that his daughter is receiving excellent medical care and he’s watching her like a hawk.
Shaun King is known for the good his does in the community. He plays a huge role in exposing a lot of issues that target the Black people and finding ways to resolve them.
He’s married to Rai King, his wife of 20 years, and they share 5 children — including Kendi.
