Yolanda Adams and Ne-Yo Heading to Broadway in Alicia Keys’ Musical Hell’s Kitchen

Broadway is getting a major dose of star power this season as gospel legend Yolanda Adams and Grammy-winning R&B artist Ne-Yo join the cast of the hit musical Hell’s Kitchen, inspired by Alicia Keys’ life and music.

The production—already a fan favorite at the Shubert Theatre—will welcome both artists in major roles as the show enters an exciting new chapter.

Yolanda Adams Steps In as Miss Liza Jane

Four-time Grammy Award winner Yolanda Adams will make her Broadway performing debut as Miss Liza Jane, the formidable piano teacher who mentors young Ali, the musical’s 17-year-old protagonist.

Adams will begin performances on November 21, alternating with original cast member Kecia Lewis—a Tony and Grammy Award winner—through December 13. She takes over the role full-time on December 16, with her run continuing through January 25.

In a statement, Adams shared:

“Performing on Broadway has always been a dream of mine. Growing up a musician, Miss Liza Jane reminds me of a wonderful mentor who blessed my life immensely. Alicia Keys has crafted an amazing story that exemplifies how we are all connected. This show feels like home.”

Ne-Yo Makes His Broadway Debut

Three-time Grammy winner Ne-Yo will also make his Broadway debut, stepping into the role of Davis beginning December 4. His addition brings a fresh dynamic to the musical as it continues to evolve on stage.
