Actress Skai Jackson has filed a restraining order against Deondre Burgin, the father of her 3-month-old son, Kasai, citing a pattern of alleged abuse that escalated on Mother’s Day.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Jackson alleges that Burgin physically assaulted her on May 12, 2025, while she was holding their infant son. She claims he grabbed her by the hair, slammed her head against a car window, and punched her in the face.
Jackson also details a history of abuse over a six-month period in 2024, alleging weekly incidents where Burgin choked, scratched, and slammed her head into walls. She further claims that during her pregnancy, Burgin demanded she drink bleach to terminate the pregnancy and held her at knifepoint, threatening to stab her if she screamed for help.
In her filing, Jackson expresses fear for her safety and that of her child, noting that Burgin owns three firearms, including a rifle. She is requesting that the court order Burgin to stay at least 100 yards away from her, their son, and her dog, as well as mandate his participation in a domestic violence treatment program.
Burgin has a history of legal issues, including serving a 90-day jail sentence for a parole violation at the time of Kasai’s birth in January 2025. He was also arrested last month on an outstanding warrant.
As of now, Burgin has not publicly responded to the allegations. The court will review Jackson’s filing to determine whether to issue a temporary or permanent restraining order.
