Bob Saget, who was best known for his role as Danny Tanner in the hit show Full House has died. He was 65-years old.
According to TMZ sources, the comedian and actor was found dead at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Orlando on Sunday. The cause of death is unclear at the moment.
The Sheriff’s Department and Fire Rescue were called to the scene around 4 pm when hotel security found Bob unconscious in his room.
According to Bob’s social media pages, he was just beginning his music and standup comedy tour.
He even shared a post about his Saturday night performance.
In ABC’s Full House, Bob played a widowed father raising his three young daughters. The show ran for almost 10 years — 1987-1995.
Other stars in the show were John Stamos, who played his brother, Dave Coulier, Danny’s friend, and TV daughters, Candace Cameron, Jodie Sweetin and twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who swapped the duties of portraying Michelle.
Bob’s character Danny Tanner was portrayed as an upstanding guy who always had a message behind every lesson; however in real life, his comedy acts were a little more risque.
Bob also was a staple in the long-running show America’s Funniest Home Videos. He hosted the show from 1989-1997.
He reprised his role as Danny Tanner in Netflix’s Fuller House, which ran for 4 years and ended in 2020.
Bob also appeared on many other shows such as Entourage, How I Met Your Mother, and most recently The Masked Singer.
Bob is survived by his wife, Kelly Rizzo, and 3 children.
Sending condolences to his family. Rest in peace, Bob.
