CBS Renews ‘Beyond the Gates’ for Seasons 3 and 4, Securing Future Through 2028

CBS is doubling down on its newest daytime drama, Beyond the Gates, announcing a two-season renewal that will carry the series through Seasons 3 and 4.

The early renewal ensures the soap will remain on the air through at least the 2027–2028 television season, marking a significant vote of confidence from the network in the show’s long-term success.

The series, which premiered in 2025, has quickly carved out a place in daytime television by centering on the wealthy and drama-filled lives of the Dupree family in the fictional gated community of Fairmont Crest. Its renewal signals strong performance and growing audience engagement in a genre that has seen fewer new entries in recent years.

Created by acclaimed writer Michele Val Jean, the show has been praised for its storytelling and for bringing a fresh perspective to daytime TV. It is also notable as the first Black-led network daytime soap opera in decades, adding cultural significance to its success.

Network executives have highlighted the show’s ability to boost its time slot and resonate with viewers, pointing to both solid ratings and positive critical reception as key factors behind the renewal.

With Seasons 3 and 4 now secured, Beyond the Gates is positioned to become a long-running staple in CBS’ daytime lineup—continuing to expand its storylines and deepen its impact on the evolving landscape of soap operas.
