CBS Announces Multi-Episode Crossover Between Beyond the Gates and The Young and the Restless This June

CBS is gearing up for a landmark daytime television event this June, bringing together fan-favorite characters from The Young and the Restless and Beyond the Gates in a sweeping six-episode crossover. The storyline centers on a high-profile political fundraiser in Fairmont Crest, promising drama, surprises, and major consequences for everyone involved.

At the Television Critics Association (TCA) panel for Beyond the Gates on Tuesday, January 27, CBS described the crossover as a “landmark daytime television event,” highlighting the reunion of longtime friends Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis) and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). Over the years, Victor has supported Vernon’s political campaigns, while Vernon has championed legislation benefiting Newman Enterprises—an alliance built on loyalty, influence, and mutual gain. This time, Vernon has invited Victor to serve as the keynote speaker for a fundraiser benefiting his grandson, Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon).

Joining the event are Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), who has been a longtime friend of Martin since their college days in New York City, along with his parents Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters). Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) are also on the VIP guest list, with Devon fielding an unexpected business opportunity from BTG’s Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie). But as the evening unfolds, a shocking event abruptly derails the fundraiser, setting off a chain of dramatic consequences for everyone in attendance.

This marks Beyond the Gates’ third crossover since its network debut on February 24, 2025. Bryton James was the first CBS soap star to appear on the show, sharing scenes with Clifton Davis, Tamara Tunie, and Karla Mosley. Shortly afterward, The Bold and the Beautiful’s Thorsten Kaye appeared as Ridge Forrester, interacting with Mosley and Sean Freeman (Andre).

Beyond the Gates, produced by CBS Studios in partnership with P&G Studios and the CBS Studios/NAACP Venture, was created by head writer Michele Val Jean. Executive producers include Val Jean, Sheila Ducksworth, Julie Carruthers, Tracey Thomson, Leon W. Russell, Derrick Johnson, Anna Saalfeld, and Lela Coffey. The show airs weekdays at 2 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT.

The Young and the Restless, airing weekdays at 12:30 p.m. ET/11:30 a.m. PT, is produced under executive producer and head writer Josh Griffith, alongside co-executive producer Sally McDonald.

CBS promises fans six episodes of high-stakes drama, unforgettable reunions, and suspenseful twists—making this crossover a must-watch event this summer.
