What started as a light-hearted TikTok post has blossomed into an unlikely advertising success story for both a social media creator and one of America’s favorite soft drinks.
Romeo Bingham, a 25-year-old caregiver from Tacoma, Washington who posts on TikTok under the handle @romeosshow, posted a short, catchy jingle for Dr Pepper on December 23, 2025 that instantly captured online attention. In the original video, Bingham sings a simple hook — “Dr Pepper baby. It’s good and nice. Doo doo doo” — tagging the brand and jokingly inviting collaboration opportunities.
The post quickly went viral, amassing tens of millions of views, millions of likes, and hundreds of thousands of saves within weeks as other creators added remixes, dances, and reactions.
Dr Pepper took notice. The beverage company licensed the original audio and teamed up with creative agency Deutsch to produce a 15-second commercial built around Bingham’s original hook. The advertisement, titled “Dr Pepper Baby (Good & Nice Jingle) by @Romeosshow,” debuted during the 2026 College Football Playoff National Championship broadcast on January 19, giving the homemade jingle national television exposure.
Rather than obscuring the social-media origin of the audio, the brand prominently credited Bingham in the commercial, with their username displayed onscreen and their vocals featured in the spot.
In interviews and social media reactions, Bingham expressed surprise and gratitude at the sudden attention. What began as a spontaneous idea about a soda they already loved has turned into a moment that resonated far beyond TikTok.
The viral jingle has also sparked wider interest across the advertising and entertainment community as an example of how user-generated content can be cultivated into mainstream media assets, and Dr Pepper reportedly plans to continue working with Bingham on future social campaigns.
Whether this marks the start of a larger career in creative content for the TikToker remains to be seen — but for now, what was once a simple earworm has become an unforgettable brand moment.
