5-Year Old Killed By Stray Bullet While Doing TikTok Videos With Dad
Tik Tok, the social media app that is keeping people around the world entertained while in quarantine, is supposed to be fun but for a 5-year-old Texas boy, it turned deadly.
Jordan Allen Jr. was quarantined with his family in southwest Houston last Tuesday. Jordan and his father, Jordan Allen, Sr. were on the family’s second-floor apartment balcony around 9 p.m. making Tik-Tok videos.
When his father went to get some juice for the pair, the boy was shot by a stray bullet from a drive-by shooting according to CNN affiliate KTRK.
CNN reports
He died Monday, nearly a week after being struck by a stray bullet in the drive-by shooting, CNN affiliate KTRK reported.
Jordan was not the intended target, and there are still no known witnesses or suspects, according to the Houston Police Department.
Jordan’s dad, Jordan Allen Sr., was playing with his son when he stepped away to grab him some juice. Moments later, the family heard gunshots — and Jordan begging for help.
“Everybody ran in the house and the kids ran in the house, so I ran to the porch, and then I see my son laying on the ground holding his head, asking for my help,” Allen told KTRK.
Allen was able to flag down an ambulance which transported the child to Texas Children’s Hospital, where he was taken off life support days later. That was the last time Allen saw Jordan, who he called the “happiest child in the world” and a source of joy to anyone who knew him.
Police are currently investigating the shooting and do not have a description of the suspect’s car.
“There were multiple casings found in the parking lot and several cars had damage from possible gunfire,” police spokesperson Jodi Silva told CNN.
Anyone with information on the shooting is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-8477 or contact police.
First off I’m sorry for your loss and my condolences go out to your family at this time. I have to say if you’re suing Walmart, then alot of ppl need to be suing everyone else too. Ppl chose to go to work during this and could protect themselves during this time. Many have lost their jobs and are getting checks at this time to help families who need it. I don’t know your story and if I did, maybe I can say more. So many ppl have passed away from this virus and it’s not Walmarts fault and everyone knows this…you’re hurt and angry cause your loved one got sick and I understand cause alot of us have lost loved ones from this horrible virus. Our economy is going to suffer a great deal after this and that means we all will suffer too. I ask you to make sure you’re doing this for the reasons that it was Walmart that gave her this virus and not because you’re angry. It won’t bring her back. Ask them to pay for the funeral because this virus hit millions and Walmart isn’t to blame for their deaths. Sometimes we get so hurt when losing someone we love, we need to blame someone. This isn’t the right thing to do. I’m not being a mean coldhearted person. I just want you to not punish them unless it was them who gave it to her. You’re hurting yourself even more by the negativity you’re bringing upon yourself and family. Please nobody has to go to work unless they want to and ppl who are sick should not be working cause they spread it to others. We can’t point fingers cause if you did sue them and got money, someone could say they got sick and your family is to blame and sues you and it becomes a viscous circle. Let your baby girl rest in peace and pray to God cause if you lose, you’ll end up more hurt than you was from the start. I say this with love in my heart and if they did something bad, I’m sorry for saying anything. I know the loss of a child and nothing you do will bring them back. God bless you and your family always. My heart weighs heavy for you and I’m holding your hand from one Angel mother to another Angel mother…
I’m so sorry for your loss of your little boy. My condolences go out to you and your family at this time. I’m so sad for you and I pray God brings you some kind of peace at this time in your lives. God bless you and your family. 🙏🏼👣🛐✝️
