I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Some people just aren’t meant to be parents. A single Mother of two tragically killed her two children last Saturday on January 13th. Afterwards, she decided to end her own life. People in the Charlotte community say that 34 year old Christina Treadway was the perfect Mom. Whenever she wasn’t working as a ticket taker for the Carolina Panthers, she was doting on her adorable lil boy and girl. That’s why neighbors are scratching their heads wondering what could have happened to make Treadway flip out and murder the two most important people in her life.
“Charlotte-Mecklenburg police were conducting suicide and homicide investigations in northwest Charlotte after a woman jumped to her death and her two children also died Saturday.
Police said Christina Elizabeth Treadway, 34, injured 3-year-old Iliyah Miller and 7-year-old Isaiah Miller in a home on the 2100 block of Sebastiani Drive.
Then Treadway jumped from a bridge on Interstate 485, police said. She was found near the Old Gum Branch Road bridge and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
After finding Treadway, police gathered information that led them to the home on Sebastiani Drive, where officers found the two children with life-threatening injuries, police said.
Both children were taken to Carolinas Medical Center, where they were pronounced dead, police said.
There was no one else inside the home when officers arrived, police said. WBTV reported that police had never been called to the home before.
Citing police, WSOC reported that the children’s father has been located and he isn’t a person of interest in the case.
Treadway worked as a game-day employee for the Panthers, team spokesman Steven Drummond confirmed Sunday.
Facebook and Instagram pages that appear to belong to Treadway are filled with photos of the children. Posts on the accounts discuss Isaiah’s achievements in school and show photos of both children on Christmas morning, when Iliyah unwrapped a large stuffed unicorn.
Two GoFundMe pages have been set up in connection with this case. One appears to be raising money for funeral and travel expenses for Treadway’s parents, who live in northern California, according to the page. The other page asks for money for the children’s funeral and appears to have been posted by the children’s father.
This is an ongoing, active investigation, police said. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call 704-432-TIPS and speak directly to a Homicide Unit Detective or Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.””
Can you all imagine what was going through those babies’ heads while their Mom was ending their lives? Just the thought of it makes me wanna cry. We have no word on whether Christina was suffering from mental illness, or had a personal vendetta against Iliyah and Isaiah’s Father. Treadway didn’t leave a suicide note, so we may never know why she carried out this vicious deed.
