Middle School Students Save A Fresno Woman From Her Suicide Attempt
A 47-year old Fresno woman attempted to commit suicide by jumping off a bridge this past Thursday, but was thankfully saved and encouraged to not end her life by a group of middle school boys working out for their volleyball team. Once the boys encountered the situation, they immediately called their coach so he could call 911 and then he guided them on what to say to the woman in this frightful situation. Here is more on the story below:
We don’t know why the woman wanted to jump, or if the boys’ efforts stopped her, but it was an emotional event in their young lives.”
We are so thankful the boys encountered the woman when they did because this story could have had a horrific ending. They were definitely at the right place at the right time. This will be an experience that the boys will never forget and hopefully it will encourage them to go get help for themselves or others in case they find themselves in similar situations in the future. Lets send the best wishes to the woman found on the bridge and pray she will get the proper assistance she needs to prevent this from happening in the future. If you or someone you know is in emotional distress or considering suicide, call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255). And now you’re officially in the KNOW!
What a horrible thing for those babies to experience but thank God they were there.
