Harvey Weinstein Agrees To Pay $25 Million To Accusers, While Bill Cosby Loses Appeal To Overturn Sexual Assault Conviction

Harvey Weinstein, the film mogul who was accused of sexual assault and harrassment by over 30 actresses and ex-employees, has agreed to pay his accusers. In the meantime, legendary comedian and actor Bill Cosby lost an appeal to overturn his assault conviction and sent back to prison.

According to The New York Times, Weinstein, 67, has a tentative settlement of $25 million with the women who said he harassed them.

Although the lawsuit is against him and his Weinstein Company, he will not have to pay a dime of his own money. His insurance companies will foot the bill. In the settlement, Weinstein also does not have to admit to any wrongdoings or guilt.

On the other hand, Bill Cosby, 82, is currently serving a 3-to-10 year sentence after he was convicted following accusations from different women. He was denied a recent appeal to reverse his conviction.

While Cosby sits in prison, Weinstein remains out of jail on bond but his trial is scheduled to begin next month. He has yet to be convicted of any crime, but he was charged with committing forcible acts on different women.

  1. Yes it makes Sense at this present time….one is a Civil case….Weinstein’s ……and Cospy’s was a Criminal case situation….SEE THE DIFFERENCE….and Weinstein is Still facing a Criminal Trial….next Month….simple

  2. And I hope the filthy looking, grimy b@stard, faking hurt old smelly azz dog get 30 years. I don’t care what degree of case it is. Sh*t is totally unfair. What’s good for one should be good for the other. Period.
