I love you, you love me, we’re a happy family. If you If you don’t know the lyrics to this song, then you must have lived under a rock the last couple of decades. Everyone’s favorite purple t-rex, Barney, was a mainstay on every child’s tv set during the 90’s. Until recently, we never knew who the person was inside the costume. A gentleman by the name of James West was the voice of Barney. However, former software analyst David Joyner lived inside the heated costume for years…jumping for joy and interacting with kids all around the world.

The 53 year old shared a video on social media explaining his rewards and struggles with the bigger than life character. He also tells us the name of a new character he’s portraying now.

First of all, I had no idea that this dude acted in so many sitcoms. I’m hoping my brotha can cop a steady job in the entertainment field that doesn’t involved being trapped inside a heat inferno. He seems like a pretty good actor and kinda easy on the eyes, right?

Thank you Mr. Joyner for following your heart and giving us the best role model in Barney for our kids. He will go down in history as one of the biggest and best influences in a child’s life.
