This story has been rocking the social media world to its core. For the last 2 weeks, a South African community has desperately tried to find its beloved Karabo Mokoena. Karabo’s Dad, family, colleagues, and even her ex boyfriend were all in a frenzy, because it wasn’t like Karabo to be gone without letting someone know her whereabouts.
Yesterday the search came to a tragic end when the young beauty’s body was found badly and burned. What’s worse? Karabo’s former boyfriend, Sandile Mantsoe, confessed to the murder. Apparently there was domestic violence throughout the relationship, but this time things spiraled way out of control.
“Karabo Mokoena, a young woman who went missing two weeks ago, has been found dead, according to her father, Tshepo Mokoena. Her friend, Stephanie Long, had been posting Karabo’s pictures on social media, asking for people to help her find her friend.
“My friend has been missing since about April 28. If you have seen her please let me know,” reads the message that has been circulating on social media with Karabo’s picture.
After days of searching for her, her father Tshepo confirmed on Facebook that his daughter had been found dead and her body burnt. He alleged that someone close to his daughter confessed to him that they had killed Karabo and burnt her body.
On Thursday morning, Stephanie again took to Instagram to share the heartbreaking news.
“I posted this on the morning of the 29th not realizing that you were taken from me a few hours before. I loved you, you were more than a friend to me. I’m heart broken, how could they take u away from me RIP KayFab,” she wrote.
Condolences have been pouring in since, with the hashtag, #RIPKarabo, trending on Twitter.”
She was so beautiful. It just baffles me that a young lady with so much promise, so much beauty, brains, and an awesome support system can get trapped into a sinister web of violence and abuse. It sounds like she was finally breaking free of this evil dude, but he wasn’t accepting it so well.
But it’s not like Sandile Mantsoe was a bum. He was a pretty smart entrepreneur and salesman over there in South Africa. Little did everyone know what a MONSTER he had become. How else can you explain killing your girlfriend and then helping participating in the search? This fool even posted a flyer on his Instagram page shortly after he ended her life.
Wow. There’s a special place in hell for people like this sadistic maniac.
Now according to sources, Sandile hasn’t turned himself in as of yet. Here’s a Facebook message that Karabo’s grief-stricken father posted.
Hopefully this psycho will be off the streets ASAP. I’m so sorry this happened to Karabo and every other person who is violently killed by their partner. May you find eternal peace.
